Community spirit – Essex & Herts Air Ambulance
Over the past year, we have been fundraising for our nominated Charity of the Year, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT). By delivering a first-class pre-hospital emergency medical service to the people of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas, they are able to save lives, reduce or prevent disability, or suffering from critical illness and injury.
Contrary to what many people think, EHAAT is not government funded, and instead relies solely on donations, fundraising and volunteers to remain airborne and on-hand 365 days a year, to help in emergencies.
As a firm, we are passionate about charitable causes and have undertaken several events throughout the year to support this fantastic service, including our annual quiz, sports sweepstakes, bacon sandwich mornings and cake bake sales in each of our five offices.
Yesterday (18th August 2020) Salvatore Amico, Partner and Head of Town and Country Planning, presented EHAAT’s Natasha Robertson with a cheque for the fundraising work we have done this year, totaling £4,089.36. Each flight mission for EHAAT costs a staggering £2,200, so we are thrilled to be able to present our contribution to enable the charity to continue its great work.
