This includes whether or not costs are VAT applicable. VAT is currently charged at 20%.
On this page, you can find information on the total estimated cost of dealing with your case; the services we provide as part of this fee; our solicitors’ hourly rates, which are graded according to their level of experience; how long we estimate it will take to deal with your case; as well as any other additional costs or disbursements you may have to pay that are not included in your fee.

Our highly qualified and experienced team has been assisting clients in all matters relating to wills, trusts, probate, administration of estates, estate and tax planning and powers of attorney, among other areas, for many years. Not only do we specialise in managing private wealth, but we also have wide-ranging experience in helping elderly and vulnerable clients, meaning that you can rest assured that your matter is in safe and capable hands.
Our team is a large, varied and highly qualified, with a great deal of expertise in this area of the law. All wills and probate cases worked on by our specialist solicitors are overseen by our Managing Partner and department head, Andrew Flannagan.

Andrew Flannagan, Managing Partner and Head of Wills, Trusts and Probate, He qualified as a Solicitor in 1995 and has worked at Attwaters Jameson Hill since 1996. He has extensive experience in estate administration of all types, Will drafting, Powers of Attorney and tax planning. He became the firm’s Managing Partner in 2009. With over 20 years’ experience, he excels in assisting clients in all matters relating to this area of law.
Lesley-Ann Mayhew is a Partner and Head of Court of Protection and Older Client Services specialising in Wills, trusts, probate and administration of estates, estate and tax planning, powers of attorney and Court of Protection applications. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2005. She is a member of STEP.
Tony Brownlie is a Partner and Head of our Estate Administration team. He has particular expertise in matters relating to estate administration and probate work, together with associated matters like deeds of variation, estate planning and taxation. Before specialising in estate administration, Tony prepared Wills, trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney for many years. He is a member of STEP and achieved a distinction in the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates.
Alison Hon is an Associate Solicitor with wide experience in matters relating to the administration of estates, Wills, trusts, estate and tax planning and powers of attorney. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 and joined Attwaters Jameson Hill in 2013, moving up to the rank of Associate in 2016. She is a member of STEP.
Richard Hadley is a Solicitor in the Wills, Trusts and Probate department and has over 24 years experience in Private Client services.. He specialises in Trust Administration and Tax
Jenna Harrington is a Solicitor in the Wills, Trusts and Probate department. She deals with Probate, Estate administration, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
