Navigating the Building Safety Act
The Building Safety Act 2022 has introduced a huge number of legislative changes aimed at making high and mid-rise buildings safer to live in. Inevitably, this has resulted in a huge increase in the administrative burden for landlords and Responsible Persons of affected buildings.
In contrast with many law firms, who have stopped dealing with transactions of BSA-affected buildings due to the complexity of these cases and the novelty and lack of clarity of the legislation, our own leasehold experts receive regular and up-to-date training on the Act and can advise our clients regarding their responsibilities and rights under the new legislation.
Working with our colleagues in our Commercial Property department, we can support landlords and tenants alike in navigating this new and complicated piece of legislation.
